Evening out floor

A level surface ensures that your floor can be laid tight and beautifully.

Why should you level your floor?

Leveling the subfloor is often necessary to prepare for tiling or laying parquet. If the subfloor is not flat, this can result in bumps and gaps in your new floor. An uneven floor can also cause problems with your furniture and lead to sound issues. By leveling your subfloor, you prevent these problems and can fully enjoy your new floor.

Assessment of your floor

Leveling subfloors is a specialized skill. There is a lot involved in doing this correctly. A flat subfloor provides the best result when applying a floor covering. By applying a layer of self-leveling compound, the subfloor not only becomes flatter and more beautiful, but it also naturally extends the lifespan of the covering applied on top of it.

Thickness

The thickness of the leveling compound depends on the condition of the subfloor. Normal leveling compound is intended to fill in minor irregularities (a few millimeters). There is also heavy-duty leveling compound available, which can be applied in a layer of up to 6 cm thick. To achieve a good end result, we recommend aiming for a layer thickness of 3 mm.
